Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) is a traditional plant valued for centuries, whose seeds hold special natural compounds. WTN Milk thistle complex drops contain a standardized extract of milk thistle.
Our goal was to create drops built on a combination of plant ingredients and advanced manufacturing technology.

Main features of WTN Milk thistle complex drops

It contains standardized milk thistle extracts such as:

• Silymarin: not a single substance, but a natural mixture of compounds (so-called flavonolignans) found in milk thistle seeds.
• Silybin: the best-known component of the silymarin complex and the one most often studied in nutritional research is silybin (itself a mixture of silybin A and silybin B).

Standardization is essentially a quality assurance procedure.

Since the active ingredient content of plants can naturally vary (e.g. due to weather, soil or growing conditions), standardization ensures that every serving contains the same amount of the given component.

Besides milk thistle seed extract, our formula also contains cold-pressed milk thistle seed oil itself, providing a broader spectrum of the substances naturally occurring in the plant.

It's not only what a product contains that matters, but also how it's made. That's why we pay special attention to both the extraction and the way the active ingredients are incorporated.

Extraction process

For the WTN formula we chose a raw material made with an ethyl alcohol extraction process, because even if residues remain in the extract, their amount is negligible and poses no health risk. For milk thistle, the most commonly used extraction solvent is acetone, which we wanted to avoid.

Special carrier system

Due to their natural structure, plant actives such as silybin don't always dissolve well in water – which can make it difficult to create stable liquid formulas.
That's why WTN uses a liposomal carrier system: we enclose the active ingredients in a natural lecithin-derived envelope, which helps distribute and stabilize them evenly in the drops.
This modern, gentle technology helps the plant ingredients keep their stability for longer and the product to remain uniform and homogeneous.

Directions for use:

• Recommended amount: 3 pumps of liquid a day, sprayed under the tongue. Hold it under the tongue for 30 seconds!
• Preferably half an hour before the first main meal; in case of a sensitive digestive system, with or after a meal.
• Always press the pump down firmly!
• Shake before use!
• Store in the refrigerator after opening!
• Milk thistle is a herb with a mild estrogenic effect, so we recommend using it in line with the female cycle – in the first half of the cycle, from the first day of menstruation until ovulation (approx. day 14–16 of the cycle).

Warning:

• In case of liver cirrhosis, be sure to consult your doctor before starting the product!
• Consuming dietary supplements is not a substitute for a balanced, varied, mixed diet and a healthy lifestyle.
• Do not exceed the recommended daily amount.
• Keep the product out of the reach of children, in a dry, cool, dark place.
• If you are allergic or hypersensitive to any of the product's ingredients, do not use the product!
• Before using liquid dietary supplements, it's worth doing a skin test to rule out sensitivity to the ingredients. The area behind the ear is ideal for this, as the skin there is very thin and sensitive.
• It is strongly recommended to take dietary supplements separately from coffee! It is best to take them at least half an hour before drinking coffee, or at least 2 hours after.
• Taking dietary supplements with milk-based products is not recommended!
• If you take several dietary supplements, consult a professional about the order in which to take them so that the active ingredients don't cancel each other out.
• Use as a course is recommended, unless your doctor or naturopath has advised otherwise.
